Tarryn Mthimkhulu, CFO

Ubuntu is proud to announce that Tarryn Mthimkhulu is our first Chief Financial Officer.

Tarryn joined Ubuntu in 2005 as our Financial Officer. In her first year, she radically modernized our financial tracking and accounting systems to improve our efficiency and efficacy. She also showed herself to be a quiet force in the organization and had all the potential to become a great leader.

Tarryn’s background is in non-profit accounting. She attended Durban University of Technology, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Before coming to Ubuntu, Tarryn sharpened her financial and accounting expertise in government and NGO settings.

“I love my job. I love what I do—when we see that some of the kids we’ve been working with for a long time are now in university, it shows that this is working, that we are making an impact. That is not something that you find in most work environments—proof that you have changed someone’s life.”
